Management Team

 

Pious Manamike (Company Secretary)

Pious joined the Group in August 2005, after holding various positions in Finance and Administration for 15 years. He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) degree from the University of Zimbabwe, a Masters of Business Administration Degree from Midlands State University and is a Chartered Secretary.

 

Jonas Chindanya

Jonas Chindanya ( Head Crop Procurement and Inputs )

Jonas joined the group from the Ministry of National Supplies as Purchasing Manager and was appointed Corporate Services Executive in May 2003. On 1 December 2007 Jonas was appointed to Head Crop Procurement and Inputs. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science Special Honours Degree in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe

 

Maynard Mundandishe

Maynard Mundandishe (Information Technology Manager)

Maynard has ten years experience in information technology with an emphasis in systems development and implementation. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) combined degree in Data Processing and Accounting from the University of Leeds, UK, and a diploma in Business Studies from Gwent College of Further Education, UK. Maynard is a member of the Computer Society of Zimbabwe and a student member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).


Maria Pangidzwa

Maria Pangidzwa (Corporate Communications Executive)

Maria is a professional broadcaster with thirteen years experience. She joined the group in January 2003. Previously she spent ten years managing the public relations department for a large retail chain. A sculptor by profession, she studied Interior Architectural designing in Geneva, Switzerland.

 

Predrag Zec

Eng Predrag Zec (Engineering Executive)

Predrag has 30 years experience in information technology and electronics. He has worked for UNISYS Corporation as a Mainframe Support Engineer, maintaining mainframes for the Yugoslav Airline, Army, and Aeroplane factories. He also worked for SONY (SA) as a Head Engineer. He was Technical Director at The Parkview Hospital, involved in the maintenance of medical Lazers and Endoscope equipment (Striker-Emirates). Predrag holds a Bachelor of Science Eng (Honours) Degree in Information Engineering & Electronics from Belgrade University-Yugoslavia, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Belgrade-YU, and is also a Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MSCE) Utah, USA Mastering OS, Networks & Comunications. He joined the Group in November 2003.

Samson Ruwisi

Samson Ruwisi (Group Treasurer)

Sam joined the corporate world as Group Treasurer for The Cotton Company in September 2004. He is a multi-disciplined career banker, who has worked at various banks within treasury trading in both the Zimbabwean and Botswana market. Having specialized in treasury and international trade, Sam is an associate member of the Institute of Bankers South Africa, CAIB (SA).

Thomas Guta (Human Resources Executive)

Tom joined the Group in 1999 as an employee relations manager, after having worked for various organisations in the field of human resources management. He was later appointed Group Employee Relations Manager, a position he held until his current appointment. Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Zimbabwe.

Walker Ntini (Group Financial Controller)

Walker is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. He joined the Group in September 2007, after several years in the audit profession where he served as an Audit Manager and Senior Audit Manager in the United Kingdom and Zimbabwe respectively.


 

Tagarirofa Tichinani Mashavira

Tagarirofa Tichinani Mashavira (Crop Procurement and Inputs Executive - West )
Tagarirofa joined the Cotton company in 2002 as the senior agronomist and was promoted to the post of crop procurement and inputs executive in October 2003, which he holds to date. He holds a BSc Agriculture Honours from the University of Zimbabwe 1983 and MSs APS from Wye College, University of London 1988. From 1984-1998 he worked for the Cotton Research Institute Department of Research and Specialist Services, in the Ministry of Lands and Agriculture, as a cotton research agronomist. Between 1998-2002 Tagarirofa was a cotton research agronomist with the Commercial Farmers Union under the Commercial Cotton Growers Association.

Donald Dombo(Crop Procurement and Inputs Executive – East Region)

 Donald joined the Group in 1997 as a Business Accountant and moved to operations in 2000 where he served as a Business Manager for Glendale, Mutare and Bindura business units until his current appointment. Prior to this, he held various accounting positions with Mutare Board & Paper Mills and Amtec Motors for  eight years. Donald holds a BAcc (Hons) degree (UZ) and an Executive MBA (Africa University).

Pat Devenish (Group Chief Executive Officer - Seed Co)

Pat has worked in Agriculture throughout his professional career, where he began as an auctioneer with Tobacco Sales Floor (Zimbabwe) in 1978.There after he spent three years at Auction Holdings (Malawi) from 1983 to 1985. Pat rejoined Tobacco Sales Floor (Zimbabwe) in 1986 becoming Managing Director in 1996. He was there until 2002, when he joined Seed Co as Group Chief Executive. Pat sits on the Board of Zimplow Limited and is a Trustee of Blackford College of Agriculture. He holds an MBA from the UCT Graduate School of Business, Cape Town, South Africa.


Robin Jarvis

Robin Jarvis (Managing Director - Quton Seed Company)

Rob has 30 years experience in the cotton industry. He worked for Cottco from 1990 to 1996. He then spent two-and-half years in Uganda after which he joined the Group. In September 1998 to run its seed production operation, Quton Seed Company. Effective 1 October 2003, he has been in charge of the regional operations. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Agriculture from the University of Zimbabwe.

Faisal Ismail Badat

Faisal Ismail Badat (Managing Director - Scottco)

Faisal was appointed Managing Director of Scottco, a Cottco group spinning subsidiary company in 1998. He has more than 20 years management experience, six of which he spent in England. In 1981 he was appointed assistant manager of Glendale Spinners where he was later promoted to General Manager in 1984. He was then Appointed Managing Director and member of the board of the holding company, Zimbabwe Spinners and Weavers (Pvt.) Ltd in 1986. Faisal holds a Higher National Diploma in Texttiles Technology (majoring in cotton spinning) from Bolton (UK) and a Diploma in Management Studies from Manchester University (UK).

 

Blessings Ganyiwa (Managing Director Exhort Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd)

Blessings Ganyiwa was appointed Managing Director of Exhort Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd on 1 December 2007.She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Science and Technology and an MBA, both from the University of Zimbabwe. Work experience includes heading the quality assurance function in Zimbabwe for Innscor Africa and being responsible for research and development at DZL Holdings operations in Zimbabwe, Malawi and Zambia. Her most recent position was Managing Director of ZAGRINDA, which specialises in processing and marketing fruit and vegetable products.

 

Reginald Gumbo- (Operations Executive- Exhort Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd

Reg is an accomplished systems developer and business analyst. He worked for a software house, merchant bank and a commercial bank before joining The Cotton Company in 1996 as a Systems Development Manager. He was appointed to Operations Executive for Exhort Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd in October 2007. Reg holds a Master of Business Leadership (MBL) from UNISA, a professional diploma in Network Centred Computing (NIIT) and BSC Honours (Economics) from the University of Zimbabwe.
